Cypress Village Residents:

As you may have guessed, the build is cancelled for this weekend due to Hurricane Ike. There is too much recovery still going on most people are just plain worn out. The build is supposed to be fun and at this point it would not be fun for anyone. There are still many people in the neighborhood that are fixing their homes as well as businesses that are strapped during this time. We want this build to be a success and hope that you will still want to join us in our efforts to connecting your community through this playground.

We are looking to reschedule for November 22nd. We are trying to confirm with the playground manufacturer that it will work for them as well. Please let your various committee members and volunteers know today that the build is cancelled and we are looking to reschedule for the 22nd of November but will confirm that by next week, if not earlier. I am aware that the 22nd is the Saturday before Thanksgiving but there are a number of reasons that day works so we are going to tentatively set it for that date and hope for the best.

Thanks so much for what you have done on this project thus far and what you will continue to do to ensure the success of the build day.

The Parks and Recreation Staff will have a follow-up meeting next week so we can all get back on the same page and move forward with the project, I will email you any with updates.
