I am a dog lover and have been all my life, but I currently do not own a dog and see no reason that on a regular basis I am cleaning dog crap out of my yard and cleaning up trash that has been spread by morning dog walkers. I know it 's the morning dog walkers because just this morning between the time I left for work (6:15 am) and the time my wife dropped my daughter at daycare (8am) our trash was strewn all over my yard and street. Now I don't mind dogs peeing on the fire hydrant, but if neighbors are careless enough to not clean up after their pets, we need to add a fee for pet ownership. It's not fair to all the other residents to have to clean up after thoughtless pet owners.

Thanks
ddd

If I knew whose dog it was I would address them personally. There are several folks that walk dogs in the area. There should be a global policy for dog owners. A communicated policy can be enforced. Suggestions and conflicts can seem to be personal and will escalate accordingly.

The only thing we can tell you is to call Pearland Animal Control as this is a city issue. There are laws against the instances you are citing and they take their job very seriously.

Drafton Family, If you dont mind me asking, what section do you live in? I do know that in Section II, there is a dog who roams the neighborhood loose. He belongs to someone, they just keep him loose in the neighborhood. He's a smaller dog & is friendly, but again, he's loose & roaming the neighborhood. Also, last week, when I was riding my bike, there was a larger dog in the front of the neighborhood that looked to be a stray that doesnt belong to anyone.
